Welcome to the Logan District Model Railway Club We are located at 76 Springlands Drive, Slacks Creek. In days past the clubroom was used as a Scout Hall, but now houses a large permanent HO and N Scale layout and a smaller portable N scale exhibition layout. There is no preferred scale or prototype - some members model Queensland 3 foot 6, others prefer NSW, British, American or European prototypes and many model in N scale. You don't have to know much about trains to join. Among our 30-odd members the level of modelling skill ranges from absolute newcomers to the hobby, right through to veterans with several decades experience. |

In fact one
of the main reasons the
club exists is so people can learn more about trains. You don’t have to
own a layout – you can use one of the club’s. You don’t especially have
to own any trains – a lot of members come along just for the social
aspect. Activities at the club centre around
Tuesday evenings, which is when the main weekly get-together takes
place. Bring something to cook on the barbecue, or just bring yourself.
We usually run some trains and do a little work on the layouts. On the second and fifth Friday of each month there is a running night, where trains are run on the main layout under the direction of a central operations roo |
